Cheadle Gazette editor Lori has issued a call for new reporters, creators, and general connectors to join the independent publication's small team.

In her monthly editor's letter, Lori said the publication receives regular support from readers who stop her in the street, write in, and buy copies. She expressed a desire for the magazine to serve everyone in the South Moorlands area, covering topics that affect local residents.

"There is a space at COG for everyone, no matter how little time or how little skill you think you have," Lori wrote. "You'll be amazed at the difference communication makes to a community!"

Highlights and Community Events

Recent highlights in the publication have included coverage of fishing in the area and summer shows and fayres across the South Moorlands. The editor noted that meeting people who volunteer to organise community events "restores one's faith in community and the role you can all play in it."

July saw festivals including Cheadle Carnival, Pride in the Moorlands, the Festival of Brilliant, and the Leek Show. August is expected to bring further events, with details available in the publication's "What's On" section and on its website.
